Terms and Conditions AKA EULA for Use of MoonGlasses Baldur's Gate 3 Toolkit

By installing or using MoonGlasses, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the below Terms and Conditions.

Definitions

• End User License Agreement: "EULA"
• Intellectual property: "IP"
• This Terms and conditions Agreement: "Agreement"
• Baldur's Gate 3: "BG3" is the game for which the official Toolkit was designed to create Mods for (and develop itself).
• Larian Studios: "Larian", the development studio of BG3.
• MoonGlasses: "MG", software developed by "us", unaffiliated and independent to Larian and without their endorsement. MG does not contain any (copyrightable) code owned by Larian or other parties. It modifies the official Toolkit on startup and includes custom additional features, changes of existing functionality and bug fixes. We do not include code, content, or IP of Larian or their affiliated partners.
• (The official) Baldur's Gate 3 Toolkit: "official Toolkit", a collection of tools (toolkit) for developing mods for BG3 by Larian, accessible through "Glasses(.exe)".
• Toolkit: The (potentially modified) software that runs on people's devices when using the official Toolkit (potentially with MG enabled).
• Wizards of the Coast: "WotC", licensors of Dungeons and Dragons ("D&D"), basis of the game mechanics and many parts of the universe of BG3 (e.g. the "Sword Coast").

Agreement

This Terms and Conditions Agreement governs your use of MoonGlasses, a modified version of the official Baldur's Gate 3 Toolkit by Larian Studios.

MoonGlasses is intended for use in accordance to all usage guidelines and agreements made for use of the official Toolkit. We are not affiliated nor endorsed by Larian and its partners who own BG3 and the official Toolkit. By downloading, installing, or using MoonGlasses, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, you must not use MoonGlasses.

1. You acknowledge that:

   • BG3 is developed by Larian and published under license from WotC,
   • all original assets, game code, and associated lore are the intellectual property of Larian, WotC, and their respective licensors,
   • MoonGlasses is an unaffiliated mod of Glasses and parts of the official Toolkit and this Agreement does not grant ownership or license to any original materials from Larian Studios or WotC.

2. Use of this Toolkit requires full compliance with all agreements made for use of the official Toolkit, notably:

   • The Larian EULA and Fan Content Policy,
   • the WotC Fan Content Policy,
   • additional usage terms of the official Toolkit provided by Larian Using MoonGlasses does not exempt you from your obligations under any of the above agreements. You must continue to fully abide by them while using MoonGlasses.

3. Limited License to Use MoonGlasses (does not grant any rights to use the official Toolkit by Larian) You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, and limited license to use MoonGlasses files and programs only, for:

   • personal use (in accordance to agreements made for the official Toolkit)
   • use alongside a legally owned copy of the official Toolkit
   • activities permitted under the Larian and WotC fan content guidelines.

   You may not:

   • Sell, rent, license, or monetize MoonGlasses or any derivative works,

4. MoonGlasses is an unofficial project and is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or supported by Larian Studios, Wizards of the Coast, or Hasbro. All associated copyrights and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

5. Disclaimer of Warranty MoonGlasses is provided "as-is" without any warranty. No guarantees are made regarding:

   • Stability, compatibility, or usability,
   • function with future versions of the game or Toolkit,
   • conflicts with other mods or third-party tools. Use is entirely at your own risk. We are not liable for data loss, corruption, game instability, or breaches of third-party licenses.

6. Termination Your right to use MoonGlasses may be revoked at any time if you:

   • Violate these terms,
   • breach the Larian or WotC fan content policies,
   • use the Toolkit in a way that endangers the legal status or reputation of the BG3 modding community.

7. Changes to These Terms This Agreement may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Toolkit after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. You are obligated to ensure you are not violating the currently active Agreement. Regularly check if any changes have been made to this Agreement.

9. Legal Continuity & No Additional Rights MoonGlasses is an unofficial extension of the official Toolkit. It does not:

   • Grant any additional rights, licenses, or privileges beyond those granted in the original EULA,
   • override or replace the terms of the official Toolkit, Larian Studios EULA, or any WotC policies.

   By using MoonGlasses, you explicitly acknowledge that:

   • All original terms, limitations, and obligations still apply in full,
   • MoonGlasses is a utility enhancement – not a standalone program.

By installing or using MoonGlasses, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the above Terms and Conditions.
